Community Strategy
Building Communities Transforming Lives
The Community Strategy provides a clear framework to make Barking and Dagenham a place where local people and stakeholders feel proud to live, work and spend leisure time.
Ideas on improvements that local residents and service providers have told us they wish to see are reflected in the aims and targets in the strategy.
Barking and Dagenham Partnership's aim in producing the strategy is to give all our partners involved, especially local communities, a clear sense of purpose.
This will ensure that Barking and Dagenham is a place that is seen by local residents, employers and visitors as an area they are proud to be part of and recommend to others, on the basis it provides:
Building Communities Transforming Lives is a long term strategy and contains key targets and actions that Barking and Dagenham Partnership aims to achieve through working closely together with partners to meet our joint aims.

Our Local Area Agreement
A Focus on Improvement
The Barking and Dagenham Partnership has continued to adapt to the needs of our communities, our partners and Government initiatives like the Local Area Agreement (LAA).
