I know everybody is wondering what LSP stands for and what it means, well do not worry if you don't know.
LSP stands for local strategic partnership, it came out in 2001 and sets out how we can work with different organisations to help the quality of life around that local area.
Since creating an LSP for Barking and Dagenham we have been able to find out alot of information on what service's the people of the borough need. The LSP works alongside public, private, voluntary and community sectors to help deliver the services effectively.
In 2001 the LSP had a main task to oversee the preperation and delivery of the area's Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) in Barking and Dagenham which was known locally as the Community Plan. In the past 10 years there have been a number of changes to the imposed statutory partnerships that are required and partnership working has become second nature to many organisations and services in Barking and Dagenham.
For this reason the Barking and Dagenham Partnership have agreed not to maintain the Community Plan for the borough and focus on the specific action plans of the individual boards. These action plans are:
