2010: A Refreshed Community Plan
Every borough has a Sustainable Community Strategy, an overarching document which describes the ambition for the local strategic partnership and the role that partners play in achieving their priorities for the borough. We call ours the Community Plan.
Read the web version of the Community Plan here.
In 2009, the Community Plan was signed off, alongside a major restructure for the Barking & Dagenham Partnership, aligning it with the six priorities that had been agreed and set out in the Community Plan: safe; clean; fair and respectful; prosperous; healthy; and inspired and successful young people.

Refreshing the Community Plan
In 2010, we plan to revisit the Community Plan and ensure that it better describes the ambition and work programmes under those themes, and that it is clearer in how the top-level vision translates into real work on the ground.
Update
We are hoping to begin this refresh in August and we would like your support to make sure it is a plan that reflects the needs of the Partnership and the Barking and Dagenham communities.
