A fair and respectful borough

One thing that residents told us when we consulted them on the Community Plan was that they wanted a fairer and more respectful community: a greater feeling of togetherness. 

This is something that we can all contribute to.  Every bit of the Partnership needs to play its part and, for this reason, we no longer have a separate board dealing with issues of fairness, respect and togetherness.  It's everybody's job.  Below are details of just some of the ways in which we are making this happen.

You can also find information on how the Community Safety Partnership keeps checks on the rest of the Partnership to ensure that everyone is taking this responsibility seriously and are making their contribution as part of their everyday business.

A thriving third sector

The 'third sector' is the collective name for the huge range of different voluntary and community groups that contribute to the work of the Partnership. Whether bringing communities together, providing direct services or campaigning on issues of social importance, it is a hugely important part of our borough.
