PSB Priorities & Projects

Public Service Board's role is to look across the Partnership at the issues that affect all the themes.  Typically, these are issues to do with how public services are managed and delivered, such as how we jointly manage our buildings and people.  Importantly, it is also Public Service Board's role to look at how we communicate within the Partnership and within its member agencies, and how we promote the borough externally as a place to live, work and learn.

At its meeting in June 2010, Public Service Board agreed that it would take on four key themes for the year ahead.  The detail is being worked up, but they are, in brief:

  • How we jointly manage our assets (buildings, people, infrastructure);
  • How we communicate and how we promote the borough externally;
  • Integrated working between NHS Barking & Dagenham and Barking & Dagenham Council;
  • Total Commissioning: how we jointly commission and deliver services, and how we can do this better and more efficiently in the future.

On these pages, information will be gathered about how these themes are progressing.
