Toolbox Talks

Adult Social Care is a fast-changing world.  There's a need to keep on top of developments in personalisation, safeguarding, new commissioning priorities, not to mention the latest in service developments for specific client groups.

To help practitioners keep on top of these developments, Barking & Dagenham Council's Adult & Community Services department have established the 'Toolbox Talks' series.  These events - roughly one a month, held over lunchtimes and for a short 1-2hr slot - will provide useful information, briefings and updates, along with the chance to explore the implications with like-minded colleagues from across the Partnership.  They're about keeping your box of tools up to scratch for the changing world in which you work.

The events are all loaded into the calendar, right, and the full range can be found by searching the website for 'Toolbox' - click here to get the list.  Over the summer, you can learn about 'safeguarding adults with learning difficulties' (25 June 2010), safer recruitment (30 July 2010) and looking after personal information (27 August 2010).
